A research paper done by Leiders in Cultuur (LinC) about diversity in the Utrechtian cultural sector.
EDITORIAL DESIGN FOR PARTICIPANTS OF LEIDERSCHAP IN CULTUUR
‘Diversiteit in de Utrechtse culturele sector’ is a research paper done by four participants of the Leiderschap in Cultuur (LinC) course of the University of Utrecht. In the paper the participants, all of whom are professionals that currently work in the cultural sector, investigate how they can make the cultural sector of Utrecht more diverse.
The main goal of the design was to avoid any biases around diversity, and therefore I chose not to use any images to avoid any type of (cultural) groups of people to be left out. This choice also overlapped with the second most important point of the client; it needed a formal look, because the readers of the paper are professionals themselves. With the use of two additional colours and square shapes the paper got a little more character, coinciding with the typography at certain points to stress important parts of their research.
Printed on A5 170gsm woodfree offset paper with a matte finish.
