RAINY DAY is the pseudonym of Rutger van Aken (Nieuwegein, 1995), an Utrecht based, multidisciplinary graphic designer. In 2017 he established RAINY DAY, working mostly within the cultural sector, making event identities, artwork and posters for venues and music artists alike.

Rutger studied Graphic Design at Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht, graduating in 2018. After having worked in the field for some years he went on to study Graphic Design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, graduating in 2024.
