Designer Violence are a electronic punk duo from Zeeland. Their new album We Gave Peace A Chance is a very personal record, where the band opens up about transgender struggles.

The artwork I made for them plays with the parralels between binary frameworks. These binaries, such as the one normalised in gender, is inherently violent towards anything outside it. Within graphic design it becomes fluid: through image compression, converting bitmap to RGB or CMYK, it eventually transforms back to 1’s and 0’s, paper and ink, the concrete and abstract.
