Together with TivoliVredenburg and Never Mind The Hype, EKKO has set up a concert series showcasing the rich variety of extreme music. Doomstad, a play on Utrecht’s nickname the ‘Domstad,‘ tries to give a stage to artists in extreme music who find themselves to be too heavy for experimental shows, but at the same time too experimental for heavy concerts.

Since 2022 I have been designing the identity for this concert series, creating sculptures which through its materiality, try to visually translate the sonic contrast within and between the music of the Doomstad artists. Built from salvaged materials, these sculptures often combining the organic with the inorganic.
