Modular Signage System
Wayfinding
Modular Signage is a wayfinding system designed by Rutger van Aken and Timo van Sark, commissioned by the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam.
The system consists of 75 steel poles ranging from 240 to 400 cm in length, which can be suspended inbetween the floors and ceilings of the academy’s architecture. It’s moveable and interchangable elements allow for information holders to be used at various heights, angles in 360° directions.
The system is currently in production, but has seen its first use during the Open Day 2025 on January 31st, 2025. Campaign was designed by Esmee Desjardin and Matthew Oxley.
